Still Here

In spite of the lack of blog updates, we are still here, and we have managed to do a few fun things this month. However, we have no photos of the few fun things we've done this month. Sorry.

Here's the scoop:

Brychan continues to LOVE school. Kehlton continues to cry every morning we drop Brychan off.

We made a quick trip to Texas to
     1. Visit my family
     2. Visit my grandparents (who are both suffering some serious health issues)
     3. Meet my little brother's fiancee (technically, she wasn't his fiancee until the day after we came home, but whatever!)

David continues to work with the 11 year old scouts and I am still super busy with the YW.

Work is going insanely well for both of us. David and his partners keep reelin' the listings in, and January has been, by far, the busiest month ever for Kadydid Designs. I'm not sure what happened between December and January, but we've had more sales this month than all other months combined.  Crazy.

I am signed up for not one, but two, 5K's in March.  Perhaps the dumbest thing I've done in awhile; we'll see.  Regardless, Biggs and I are getting lots of running/walking in trying to get ready.

And hopefully, we'll do something super fun - that includes photos - soon!! :)

1st Day of Preschool

Today was Brychan's first day of Preschool!
He is one of four peer models in a special needs preschool classroom at our local elementary school.
The other 3 peer models are in his Sunbeam class at church, so that's extra fun for him
There's only 13 kids and 3 teachers, which Mommy really likes,
and he has school for 3 hours Monday - Thursday.
He was beyond excited this morning.  He's been waiting a long time to get to go to school.
However, Mommy is feeling like it wasn't long enough.
I am super excited for him though because I know he'll have so much fun
and I know how much he loves to learn.
Kehlton is not as excited.
He cried for the entire first hour after we dropped brother off.
Although, I think once he gets used to 3 hours of
uninterrupted Mommy time; getting to play how he wants,
he'll quickly learn it's okay! :)

I will say; I definitely like being on the Preschool Teacher side of this experience
much more than I like being on the Mommy side of this!

Christmas 2011

I am finally getting around to posting Christmas photos!  Better late than never, right?

After a fun day of playing, baking, watching Christmas movies, drinking hot chocolate, putting reindeer food on the front yard and looking at Christmas lights, the boys went to bed (Brychan fell asleep at 6:30!) and Santa made his visit!

Unfortunately, the boys woke up again after Santa had made his visit and noticed all their fantastic loot right before midnight.  Needless to say, we stayed up for quite awhile after while the boys played with their bike and scooter.  Luckily, they were so excited about the big things that they didn't even notice the stockings, so we were able to go to bed with some Santa surprises still intact.

Christmas morning, Lala showed up bright and early and we all sat around and waited for Kehlton to wake up.  Once he did, we enjoyed opening presents, eating yummy cinnamon rolls, drinking eggnog and then rushing to get ready for church!  As expected, our Christmas-themed sacrament meeting was absolutely wonderful.
One of the best things about living in Arizona is that we don't have to wait 3-4 months to go outside and play with all our new toys!  Lala had Bug riding his bike all by himself in no time...
And Kehlton just enjoyed the rides.  It won't take him long to be racing around on that scooter by himself.  He already has the foot movement down; he just needs a little bit of practice!

I happened to win a couple of super hero capes on a random blog right before Christmas, and they made great stocking stuffers.  I love that it looks like Kehlton has a light-saber or something of the sort in this photo, but it's just a fun remote control car.
We had such a wonderful Christmas holiday!!  It was so nice that David had a few days off (I don't go back to work until January 10).  We really enjoyed just lazing around the house with nothing pressing to do.
We really missed getting to see all of our family members this year!  We hope you'll all decide you need a break from your winter weather and come visit soon!
