Baby News

Okay.  So to answer all the questions...

Yes, baby number 3 is coming in October.  And yes, we are excited!

No.  I have not felt well.  At all.  I seem to do okay in the mornings until Noon or 1:00, and then I hit a brick wall.  Exhaustion, headaches and "morning" sickness hit with gusto at the same time everyday.  I have to have a nap every afternoon (thank goodness both boys still nap and do so at the same time!!) and I'm out like a light by 9:00 each night.  I remember being tired with the first 2 pregnancies, but not this tired.  I must be getting old!

Not much is getting done around the house; if it's not done before noon, it's not happening!  My poor boys are often left to fend for themselves for dinner.  Hopefully only another week or so of this, though, and I can start feeling normal again.

I know I'm supposed to desperately want a girl, but I would honestly be okay if we had another boy.  I've got the boy thing down! :)  However, having said that, I do feel like it's a girl.  I actually felt like we had a girl waiting for us before this pregnancy.  I guess we'll see!!

Thanks to the lack of desire for food, I have lost a few pounds.
However, my belly is already almost 3 inches bigger than it was pre-pregnancy.
How fair is that?!?

We have a couple of ultrasounds coming up within the next 2 weeks (all routine!), and then no more pictures of our little one until the big 20 week ultrasound when we find out what we're having.  We could have an additional ultrasound in 3 or 4 weeks to tell us the sex of the baby, but at that time with both Brychan and Kehlton, we were told they were girls.  Needless to say, we don't have a lot of faith in the 14 week ultrasound! :)

I think that's it!  Did I leave anything out?  We'll definitely keep everybody posted!!

More Outside Fun...

Today we played outside with chalk paint.  I'm trying to take advantage of playing outside as much as humanly possible before it gets too hot and we're stuck inside.
I kind of wish I would have had some bigger paint brushes on hand, but they were happy with what they had,
and they stayed outside and painted happily for almost an hour.
And yes.  Painting toes is just as much fun as the sidewalk!
**PS?  Make sure all food coloring is safely tucked away before assuming your children are quietly having fun.  Otherwise you may be shocked to discover that your 2 year old was having fun...but in a way that dyed his skin green enough that he could be cast in Wicked as Elphaba's son.  Just sayin'. **

Spring Break Fun

We pulled out the swim trunks for the first time this season. I don't know if I should be happy about it or sad. It's so fun to have super nice weather to play in during Spring Break, but that also means that super hot days are not too far behind...

Anyway, the boys told me they wanted "this much" water:

Kehlton scoping things out

And getting ready to run through!

It takes Brychan for-ev-er to decide to actually get in the water.
He warms up slowly! :)
However, once he's in full water play mode, he never wants to leave!

This photo of K just makes me laugh.  Love it!!!

Sweet brothers.  I love that they are such good friends!!

4th Birthday Party

Today was Brychan's very first birthday party, which he has been "patiently" waiting for all week! He was allowed to invite 4 friends for his 4th birthday, and he knew exactly which four he wanted to invite.

We had a bit of a "Dino-bration" this afternoon.  Dinosaur foot prints

Dinosaur cupcakes

And decorate your own dinosaur goodie bags

With dinosaur party hats

And dinosaur eggs to hunt.

We also had a "dino dig" in the dirt pile in the back, complete with shovels, magnifying glasses and lots of mini dinos to be found.

Brychan was super excited and stood by the front door for 15-20 minutes waiting for his friends to arrive.
Bella was the first to arrive and they had to get their party hats on ASAP.

The one thing Brychan really wanted for his birthday party was a pinata.  I had no clue he even knew what a pinata was, but when I asked him, he told me right away "it's a pinata you hit with a stick and candy falls out of it".  Yep!  So, we had a T-Rex pinata, which Daddy ultimately had to hit to break open.

Why is he only willing to sit and say "cheese" so perfectly when his mouth is covered in chocolate?
Brychan and all his little friends: Cameron, Nathan, Bug, Bella and Kate.
I think all the kids had a blast, but phew!!  Throwing a birthday party is hard work!!!  This momma will be going to bed early tonight.  Although...I have an actual birthday to prepare for tomorrow.

Fun Randoms

Earlier this week, I came out to find a large selection of the canned goods from my pantry out in the floor.  Brychan was carefully sorting them, and Kehlton was using them as drums.  They played quietly and happily for probably an hour and then willingly put all the cans away.  Successful play, I'd say!

Kehlton loves dressing himself, and is quite good at getting things on (and unfortunately, off).  He insisted on wearing a pair of his brother's shorts the other day; on top of his jeans and backwards, but he did it himself! :)

Arabian Horse Show

A couple of weekends ago, we took the boys to see the Arabian Horse Show in Scottsdale.
We saw a few horse shows, toured some super nice RV/trailers, ate some lunch and looked through all the vendors.  They even had several horses and riders dressed in traditional Arabian costumes which was fun.  Of course, those photos didn't turn out.

Kehlton loved all the "yee-haws".  He got so excited everytime he saw another one.  So, pretty much every two seconds we heard "More yee-haws!!".  It was cute.
Brychan liked all the cowboys too.
We had a really fun morning - definitely worth the $10 we paid to get the whole family in!
