I've decided I need a new room of PINK. Not because we're having a little girl (for those who may not have heard yet, we're having another boy) or because I love the color pink (because I really don't), but just because I will now be out numbered in my own home 4 to one. That's right. Even the dog is a boy!!
Where am I to find all the extra energy to keep up with all my boys? And when will I get to do any "girlie" stuff? :) Will definitely be a fun adventure for sure!

Oh, Man!!
So, in all my spare time the last couple of weeks, I decided to make our blog a little cuter. I forgot that the color on our monitor was mysteriously off - and chose colors that matched according to what I was seeing. Now the color on our monitor is fixed and ewww!! The colors don't match at all!! But, it'll have to stay mis-matched until I have more time to play with it. My apologies! :)
And just as an update: Swim lessons are a HUGE hit! I'm really sad they only last for one more week, because Brychan loves them. We've been swimming almost everyday this week (swim lessons Mon - Thurs and visiting Ashley today) which we have both loved. Hopefully we'll get some swim photos this week.
David finished school this week and passed his first test with flying colors. Now he just has to do his state exam, take one more quickie course and he'll be ready to go! We have enjoyed having him at home the last two days. We've been spoiled in having Daddy at home all the time, and it was really hard for Brychan (and Mommy too!) to have him gone all day, every day. However, we are VERY excited for David!

Reading Lucas the Lizard
"Lucas the lizard was little and brown and he lived in the zoo at the heart of the town...."
Lucas the Littlest Lizard is one of Brychan's all time favorite books right now. He's getting better and better with talking, and his animal noises are just adorable. He will rarely do any of them on demand, and when we bring the real camera out he just clams up all together. So, Mommy had to get a little sneaky! I propped my cell phone up on my belly and caught a little bit of him reading the book. The only animal he will actually say by name is "puppy" - the rest are just their appropriate noises and/or finger signs. And "umbrella" differs every time he says it. Some times he's spot on - others he adds as many "ll's" as he wants just because they're fun to say! :)

New House Fun
Brychan really seems to enjoy his new home and all the extra room he has to roam around in. He definitely misses mowing the yard with Daddy (every time he sees the lawn mower he tries to get David to get going!), but there are other fun things to do instead. Right now he's loving helping Daddy water the plants and trees every morning. They usually both end up coming in soaking wet thanks to his "help"!
This is by far his favorite new activity - playing in the kiddie pool. He would stay out there for hours if we let him, and we have a major fight on our hands when it's time to come back inside. The kid loves baths and being outside, and combining the two is just way more fun than he could ever ask for! :) Next week, we start swim lessons, which I'm sure will be just as big of a hit!
Enjoying a book by the sliding glass door. Brychan (and Biggs too, for that matter) loves that all the windows in the house come down to the floor, so he can see outside anytime he wants to. Doesn't have to wait for us to open the front door for him anymore!
This morning we went over the CDC where I worked before getting married, which was fun for both of us. I had fun visiting with all the girls again (I still really do miss working there!), and Brychan had a blast playing with all the new toys AND the new friends!

Moving Day

As you can see, Brychan LOVED the moving truck and was absolutely heart broken that he couldn't ride there with Daddy. We let him go over for visits during nap/potty breaks which he loved while he was there, but then ended up in a screaming match when it was time to get back in our normal truck with me.

We Made It!
After a long day of packing and cleaning and an even longer day of traveling, we have made it safe and sound to our new home. We got here around 4:30 Thursday morning (thanks to some truck problems in Vegas, it took us 21 hours to get from Layton to Peoria...should have taken 12, maybe 13). There was a decent crew of guys here at 6:00am the same morning and less than an hour later, the truck was completely emptied. We are still, however, unpacking boxes! :)
It IS hot - Brychan keeps reminding us about it too. Everytime he goes outside, or we load him in the car, he says "hot" repeatedly. It doesn't stop him from wanting to play outside, though. And the heat must be draining him the same as it is David and I...every couple of hours we all need a nap, and we are totally taking advantage of the fact that right now we can get away with 2 or 3 naps a day! For the 4th, we took Brychan swimming at his Auntie Ashley's apartment (which he loved) and to one of the ball stadiums to watch fireworks. He loved those too! He kept clapping and occasionally tried reaching out to grab them. He also enjoyed meeting Aunties horse of a dog, Brutus.
Church today was also a lot of fun. It was nice seeing so many familiar faces and catching up with friends I figured I'd never see again. No doubt we will love this ward this time around just as much as I loved it last time!
We are still working on getting the phone up and running, but definitely drop us a line should you feel so inclined! I'll get photos up again one of these days!
