New chompers!

This past week, Brychan's top two teeth came in! I was trying SO hard to get a photo of all his little chompers, but I think he knew exactly what I was trying to do.

Silly

Lately, Brychan has been trying very hard to get his clothes off all by himself (luckily, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of it). He ended up playing peek a boo under his shirt with Dave and I, and Brychan thought it was hilarious. This was at the end of our game.

My kid is cuter than your kid!

(Dave:) Putting all bias aside, Brychan has to be about the cutest kid out there. Yesterday, as I lay dozing off in the LoveSac, he crawls up on top of me and gives me a kiss. Then he crawls down and starts rattling off "dadda-dadda-dadda..."

Sneaky...

Order of events:
I smell a stinky bum, notice the wipes are gone and refill the container. I change one stinky diaper, take the diaper to the trash in the kitchen (maybe 10 steps away) and return to this. It was that quick. It's my fault for leaving the tub of wipes there, but man he's fast!!

Caught red handed

What?!? Did I do something wrong???

Christmas

Okay...I'm finally getting around to the Christmas photos (and actually, I should be working out right now, but I'm trying to ignore that). These first photos are from our Christmas we did at home the Tuesday before. We were too lazy to haul all of our gifts up to Twin with us, and Dave had to work all day on Christmas Eve, so we did it a little earlier!

Brychan already LOVES books. Hopefully this love will stick...

Helping Daddy open his presents

Playing with new toys

Opening his new truck!

And these photos are from Christmas morning up in Twin with David's family.
Reading again...although this time he stole his cousin's Christmas present to enjoy for a moment.

Trying out Ellie's new toy along with Jacob (we all love Little People!)

Opening presents with the help of Daddy and Jacob

We had such a wonderful holiday! We really enjoyed our time up in Twin (we had a beautiful white Christmas!), and when we got home, there were more packages that had arrived for Brychan to open. That Saturday, we were lucky enough to go to the temple with Ken and Ang so they could be sealed to their little Ellie; it was a wonderful week!!

Kodi

I am sad to say that Kodi, Dave's K9 partner for just over 6 years and our loving dog passed away yesterday afternoon. I have seriously been dreading this day since the day Dave and I got married, as I knew how much my husband adored this dog. Kodi has been an excellent dog and friend to many, including Brychan and all of his little cousins (above is Kodi with Taylor).

Kodi retired from bomb detection just after Brychan was born last year. Kodi LOVED working and had a bit of a hard time adjusting to life as "just" a pet. We honestly didn't expect him to last long after retirement (he is 11 years old), but this was definitely a surprise. Dave has received dozens of phone calls and emails today offering condolences, which I know he greatly appreciates.

Below is a photo of Kodi with Biggs and then a photo of Kodi with Brychan. I am so sad that Brychan will not remember Kodi or realize just how much Kodi loved him! Kodi had recently begun napping in Brychan's room during Brychan's naps, and loved all the attention (kind or otherwise) Brychan bestowed upon him.

We will miss you Kodi!! Thank you for being such a good companion for my husband the last 7 years...he loves you dearly!

10 Months Old!!

Okay, so this is one of our Christmas photos (which I will get around to posting the rest of hopefully sometime this week), but I was too lazy to get the camera out and take a photo today. I can't believe Brychan is 10 months old already and before I know it, it will be time for his first birthday (I've already started thinking about the "party")!!

He started walking this week and his third tooth is starting to make an appearance. Right now he is totally in love with dancing; anytime he hears any sort of music (and I mean ANY, this morning he was shaking his little bum to Primary songs) he starts shakin' it. He's got this little Elvis move going on with his leg...
He is also getting crazier by the day! Each night, about an hour before bedtime, he kicks into high gear laughing, squealing, just out of control fun. I love it! Brychan is such a happy boy, he laughs all day and is always full of smiles. And he can't get enough of other children. He was SO happy to see my Primary class today after being gone for a week. I fall more and more in love with this little boy every day - I just can't believe it's been 10 months already!
