Park

Sorry photos have been lacking a bit lately, but we really haven't been doing much of anything out of the ordinary around here! This morning, we met some friends at the park. There would have been more photos if my batteries hadn't died! Hopefully this will tide you over until we do have something more interesting going on!

Friday Fun

This morning, we decided to pull out some artsy stuff. I'll tell you what, this easel was the best $15 I ever spent at Ikea. The boys LOVE it! Chalkboard on one side, white board on the other, with a roll of drawing paper underneath - fantastic!
Brychan has been working on writing the letters in his name (he hasn't decided if he's right or left handed. He's still completely ambidextrous. Maybe he'll stay that way?).

And who doesn't like a marker tower?
Painting, however, was the biggest hit. Kehlton's masterpiece is already hanging on the fridge waiting for Daddy's viewing.
And Brychan is still working on his. I wouldn't be surprised if he's still sitting there in another hour...

DONE

This was supposed to be a Christmas present for the boys last year. They were going to wake up Christmas morning and find this on the table. I worked fast and furious and got much of it done, but then we decided to go out of town for Christmas and I decided not to worry about it. After all, it won't fit on anyone else's table. Since then, I have been slowly working on it here and there. Yesterday, after almost an entire year, I finally finished it.

So here's their playhouse. The flowers can be picked from the planter, and the mailbox does close.
Brychan is in love with that little owl. And to the left is going to be a garden once I finish all the produce for it. I think I'm going to hang a "clothesline" across the top there too.
The doggie door. Which will have a magnetic bone that they boys can put in the dog dish.
The back window
And some of the produce. The apples and oranges will hang from the trees, and the garden will have carrots, lettuce, pumpkins and maybe some corn on the cob. Or peas? I haven't decided yet.
It's definitely not perfect, but I figure it really doesn't have to be. And the boys love it, which is all that matters! Hopefully it will last for years to come!

Free Entertainment

Evidently, all you need to keep two busy little boys busy and happily playing together for more than 10 minutes is a mud patch. That's something we don't see too often around here. But after an awesome rainstorm Friday night, they had a blast yesterday
and wanted photos taken of their dirty feet!

Labor Day Fun

This weekend, we went camping with a few friends from church. Let's see...there was Tom & Tia Hall and family, Brent & Lori Hall (and fam), Jill and Jared Smith, Carl and Debra Lee, Nilda Hitchcock and Chuck and Linda Tinney. We had SO much fun!! Not to mention the delight of getting out of the 100+ weather for a few days. The boys got plenty dirty...Kehlton still has dirt spots that I can't get to come off!

Can you see the little Horny Toad lizard? The boys caught him to play with until K picked him up and threw him away...
